Obedience Learn more about this dog sport
What is obedience?
FCI-obedience is a game sport that is about obedience, speed and precision. It is a hobby that young and old can practice. Because you do not need appliances or something similar in most parts, it’s a hobby that you can do with your dog daily, you can work out in a small room (your living room) and at any time of the day. All you need is your dog, cookies / toy and a good mood.
The FCI-obedience program focuses on a high degree of obedience and perfection. The program has four classes: Beginners, 1, 2 and 3. For each class there is an own contest program on which you will be assessed.
Some exercises that are asked in the various programs include the loose and continuous follow-up. As a result, positions (sit, down, standing) can be asked for quickly and without hesitation. Coming on command and sending the pawn or compartment, the apporting of a block (wood or metal) and taking the high jump are parts where speed is also important. The dog must work with pleasure, enthusiasm and driven cooperation with you to achieve beautiful results.
Per level, the assignments become more complicated and the execution must be more perfect to meet the norm.
There can be enrolled in FCI-Obedience Class B, 1, 2 and 3. For OB1, 2 and 3 the international program applies, for the OB-B the Dutch program applies. This program will be listed on the site at a later date.
